A seeded lawn can be as good as a sod lawn when it is planted at the right time. The key is a well-prepared seedbed, even seed, a light cover to hold moisture and steady watering until the grass takes hold.
For tall fescue in the Nashville area, early fall is the best season. We prepare the soil, spread improved varieties, apply starter fertilizer and cover seed with straw or a blanket on slopes. We explain every step so you know how to care for the new lawn.
