Fall is when a yard collects its mess: fallen leaves, spent annuals, tall seed heads and branches. Leaving it all on the lawn smothers grass and gives pests and disease a place to overwinter.
We remove leaves, cut back perennials, clean beds, trim shrubs as needed and make a final mowing. We can also fertilize cool-season lawns, overseed and aerate while we are there. Nashville's mature oaks and maples mean fall cleanup is a big job, and we plan accordingly.
